Final match against Ukraine before EUROs ends in draw
The German national football team played to a 0-0 draw with Ukraine in Düsseldorf on Saturday in their penultimate friendly before the EUROs. The match was a hard-fought affair, with both teams having chances to win. Germany had the better of the chances in the first half, with Timo Werner and Leroy Sané both going close. Ukraine came into the game more in the second half, but they were unable to find a way past the German defence. The result leaves Germany unbeaten in their last four matches, and they will now head into the EUROs with confidence. The 2024 UEFA European Football Championship, commonly referred to as UEFA Euro 2024 or simply Euro 2024 will be the 17th edition of the UEFA European Championship, the quadrennial international men's football championship of Europe organised by UEFA.
